What would the internet be like if we were all the same?
E-Safety 2016 and Computing News
Year 2 have been focussing on keeping your personal information safe when you are online. We decided that it is wise to use a nickname for playing games and to never share our passwords with anyone. We promised that we would always tell a trusted adult if we saw or read anything online that makes us worries or scared. We have created some great posters about keeping safe online and hope to display them around the school.
Year 1 Squirrels have created a beautiful display introducing our friend Hector. Hector is an online safety button that all children at Downton Primary School can use if they feel unsafe or worried online. By clicking on Hector, he quickly hides the screen and the children are advised to get a Trusted Adult. Year 1 adore Hector and he is a great online friend!
This week, Year 4 have been looking at the likes and dislikes of gaming. We loved that you could enter imaginary worlds, play with friends online and game anywhere – even on holiday! We disliked that people were sometimes unkind online and might post hurtful things just to win a game! Year 4 decided to put on their inventors hats and designed E-Safety Controllers. Below are the two winning designs! Well done Izaac and Jessica!
